Everything we do reflects who we are, even picking our wedding colors. Often times when we pick the colors to use in our wedding we go with our favorite color or we pick colors that go with the season. Spring and fall colors fall into the 'warm' color palette whereas summer and winter colors fall into the 'cool' palette.
Here is a description of color meanings:
White: symbolizes purity, cleanliness and innocence. It is the color that has been worn by brides since the Victorian times. The color white is brillian ad bright and wearing it on your wedding day will make you stand out.
Ivory: represents quiet, pleasantness with a touch of luster. Ivory is a soft, neutral color which has a touch of earthiness. It carries the same pureness, softness and cleanliness of white but is slightly richer and a touch warmer. This is a great color choice for brides having a spring or fall wedding, as the traditional seasonal colors compliment ivory.
Gold: is associated with wealth and prosperity. Gold is eye catching and lends richness and warmth to your wedding. Gold can be added to browns, orange and greens. Red, burgandyand purples are warmed with hints of gold.
Silver: is a lively and playful color. It is sleek and modern while still adding the feeling of riches. Adding silver will add glamor and will make your day sparkle. Silver is a versatile color and can be paired with any just about any color.
Black: is a conservative color and goes with everything except for deep hues. It is sexy, sophisticated, modern and elegant all at the same time depending on which color you pair it with.
Red: is a strong, passionate color. In some cultures red denotes purity, joy and celebration. In other countrie, red is the color of happiness, prospecrity and good luck.
